She's Here!
Gaby woke me up at 4:45 this morning and said "Your baby is going to be born today." She had been having contractions since 3:30am and thought it was time to go to the hospital. So we got everything together and headed off, and got checked in at the triage at 5:30. She was having bad contractions every 4-5 minutes for awhile, then during one of them she yelled "I'm going to die!!" so we knew she was in pain. The nurses measured and she was 6 cm dilated so they thought it was time to go to the delivery room. They got her there, and then a contraction hit and she said "The baby's coming!" Then the placenta started coming out, so they got the on call doctor in there and I held one of her legs up, she pushed twice and the baby literally popped out just that fast. I cut the cord, and the rest is history. The cord was wrapped around her neck, but I think she got out of there so fast that she was "shocked" and did not even cry. She has now eaten and mother and daughter are doing well. Her name is Alexandra Maria Moss, 7 lbs 12 oz, and 19.75 inches long. She is cute as can be and has already had her first dirty diaper. Welcome to the world Alexandra!

In his shoes...

Almost 5 years ago, when I was about to give birth to Sean, Mom Moss gave me an embroidery kit to do something fun while I was on absolute bed rest. This kit showed a little boy's feet inside his daddy's shoes. I thought that was one of the most meaningful pictures I had ever seen about the future reality of my boy. He would want to be like his daddy. He would want to follow his footsteps.
Last saturday while we were in the kitchen, Patrick decided to walk into the kitchen wearing his daddy's shoes. He just thought that was hilarious. For me, however, it was just a sign that my boys actually have someone wonderful to admire. Someone who is amazing enough, that can make them want to follow his footsteps.

30 weeks!!! yeah!!

I am soooo thrilled to know that I am 30 weeks pregnant!! You might think it is because I am almost done. On the contrary, for me it only means that my baby got to stay inside of me one more week!! Every day counts as my doctor says, and 30 weeks is definitely a big milestone in my baby's life!!
She is active as she can be. Her mother is basically bound to a couch. However, it is sooo worth it!!
Yesterday, while Eric was grocery shopping with Patrick, I decided to take myself a picture!! it was weird! all of them were out of focus. This one at least shows my entire self!!! I wore the same shirt that I did on my prior picture on purpose, ok!! so I could see if there really was a difference between the two...
I am excited to know that my little doll is active and her movement always makes my day. On the other side, Patrick is clinging to me a little too much! He wants me to hold him like a baby 24/7!!! I guess he thinks he is going to be dethroned soon. Well, I wish he understood that he will always be my baby boy. Sean is happy with the idea of having a sister. He tells everyone!! even at restaurants!! My mommy has a baby in her tummy!!
Oh well, I guess all is well with my little family so far and that is always the best blessing ever!!
