I know this is not my car. However, it pretty much looks the way ours did today. We were on our way to the dollar store to get some stickers for Patrick's Valentine mailbox when Sean suggested we went through the snowy parking lot. Eric's eyes brightened up when the thought of "off roading" came to his mind. Immediate, smart mommy said, Rey, but that is not snow anymore! it's ice! and we might get....

                                                                            STUCK!

Yes! stuck for 25 min!!! Pushing, almost burning the engine, screaming, cracking up, all of them at the same time!!! and then, when the only solution seemed to be a prayer, a wonderful man parked his truck right next to our minivan to help us get in unstuck!! angels are falling from heaven!!!

What a wacky day!!! but, ohh I laughed like crazy!!!

New pj's for my blog

Every time that I feel overwhelmed with life's events, I decide to either get a haircut or die it. Why didn't I do it today then if I was about to jump off my kitchen window? Well, I promised Eric I would let my hair grow and I promised my mom I would not die my hair jet black. As you can see, I had to get something changed today or I would have gone nuts. Therefore, my blog went through the virtual haircut and the color change!!
Why was I so stressed out? My dad had surgery today. We (my family and I) had dreaded-longed for this moment for the last 2 years. It finally happened. It's finally over. I just talked to my mom and she told me everything went well.
I honestly don't know what I would do without the knowledge that Heavenly Father is in charge of everything. Anyway, it is over. He is doing OK and hopefully this means that they can move with us this summer.

By the way, changing my blog's pj's really helped me to take my mind away from everything. I got busy trying to learn something new and I enjoyed it. However, do you have any idea how many people claim they know how to do this and have no idea about it?? I probably went through 10 different tutorials. I tried about 8 of their techniques. Only 2 worked. The price I paid for it? let's see..about 4 hrs of my precious time, a headache and not cuddling with my hubby tonight. But it is finally done and I really liked it!!  I know the header is still "not perfect," but I will keep on working on that.

It's time for me to go to bed. Tomorrow is still a school day and I have to wake up really early. Good night everyone!

We love NYC

Eric brought each one of us an I love NYC shirt from his business trip to New York. I wanted to show you guys how cute my kids look with them on. However, you know how picture taking sessions are with little kids. None of the tons of pictures taken turned out the way I wanted. Anyway, my kids still look gorgeous!!!

Torn between two lovers

I was listening to a song that is called "torn between two lovers" and it really hit me, because that's exactly how I feel right now. I cannot wait to see my husband again, play in my backyard with my kids, go back to my crafts and scrapbooking. On the other hand, the thought of leaving my parents again is killing me. I don't expect anyone to understand this, but I am hurting right now.
Being in my country makes me feel my old self again. Being in Michigan makes me feel my current self. Both make me very happy. Both make me a whole. Why can't I have both?
I know I cannot wait to kiss that gorgeous man (who happens to be my other half) and tell him I cannot live without him, and at the same time, ache deeply for not having my parents and their tender care 24/7.
I will definitely miss my country, but what I will absolutely miss is waking up to kisses and hugs all day long.

My parents home

It really does not matter how much time I live away from my country, I just need a few minutes in Mexico to feel I am at home once more.
I never lived in my current parent´s house as a single woman. However, just the smell of it makes me feel I am back in my beautiful Mexico City residence. Bright colors everywhere, the same living room furniture we bought right before the economical crisis started, pictures everywhere...anyway, my wonderful memories.
I love my parent´s home, but what I love the most is that now I can share it with a little family of my own. Now my kids are creating memories here. My husband is learning why I am the way I am, and I...I am getting my share of love from my beloved parents.
