Getting the hint

Mommy has a baby in her tummy. Be soft with mommy. You guys are going to have a sister. I have been saying those prases for about 5 months and I think Patrick finally got the hint today!! My first thought was that it was awesome. However, I am not sure what to think about now. He lifted my shirt, started pinching my belly and said to me: "Mommy, there is a baby in your tummy, right?" and I nodded. Then, he put his blue scary dragon on my belly and asked: "Can my dragon eat YOUR baby?"

I really hope he learns to love his sister someday!

My better half

He says we met at the Morris Center Cafeteria at BYU. I say we met in Heaven. He told me he wanted the relationship "to develop" before we ever talked about marriage. I knew from the very first moment he would be my husband, my best friend and my better half.
I definitely did not know things that he probably did. However, the most important things that I've come to understand through this years of my life with him are that we definitely did meet in Heaven, that he would be my husband and that he absolutely is my better half.
You all know I have been forced "to rest" for the last few months, and that I thought my life would fall apart the minute my parents left. However, Heavenly Father has reminded me day by day that I did not marry my best friend to be left alone whenever I needed help the most.
Eric has taken care of me in such a way that he has not only cooked and cleaned the house better than I could have done it myself. He has made me fall in love with him all over again.
I love my husband. I adore my husband. I am thankful for him forever.
The very first time Eric and I hugged, we were in his apartment watching a movie with all his roommates. When the movie was over, Eric tried to move away. I told him, don't let go of me. I still have the same phrase in my heart, everyday, every second. I love you more than anything Eric Moss.

The flood

Let's see...what did we do today??? well...first, the kids and I flooded the bathroom while showering. Then, the water leaked through the bathroom floor until it reached the kitchen. Later, the kitchen flooded...well, let's say it got pretty wet. Finally, the big light on top of our kitchen island fell from the ceiling, broke into a ton of sharp edged pieces, left 3 big holes on my ceiling and scared the heck out of me. Anyway, we almost destroyed our house in a matter of 10 minutes!!! Scary, huh?

Hot momma!

Ok, here is the new me! this beautiful belly popped out of somewhere this week and I just wanted to show off.

My mom had been telling me for about a month: "You just don't look pregnant at all!" and voila!! this came out this week.
Pregnancies are hard for me. Really hard. However, just the fact that I am already showing this much motivates me to hang in there.
By the way, for those of you who don't know...it's a girl!!! Do you guys have any suggestions about gorgeous girl names???

Am I falling apart?

Yes, it's the answer. I am totally heart broken. My parents are leaving us. They are going back to my beloved Mexico after almost 4 months taking care of all of us. You know I have been on bed rest for the longest time. Therefore, somebody needed to take care of my family!!! My parents did, as always!! However, the needs that they always take care of are not only the physical needs but the emotional ones. I have gotten more kisses that I had in a long time. My kids have received more hugs and compliments that they could even ask for!!! Anyway, they are leaving...and I just cannot figure out how I am going to do it to handle all the hassle that my adorable mom has had to deal with the last 4 months. I love them like crazyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

Happy as he could be

It is amazing that when parents try to make their kids lives to seem beautiful, they actually end up becoming beautiful. We tried to make Sean's surgery to be a "special" circumstance in his life and I am quite sure we succeded at it. His daddy told him about smelling bubble gum flavored gas to help him fall asleep. That seemed awesome to Sean! Nena (my mom) told him in the sweetest way how he would have perfect vision after he woke up from his little nap. I just told him a billion times how much I loved him and how wonderful he was. Nothing about the surgery. I just wanted to cry every time I got to mention it!!
Anyhow, when we arrived to the hospital, Sean was joyful! there was a rainbow on the front of the hospial, there were toys everywhere and there were friends in every floor. It basically was a smaller version of Disneyland to him. Doctors and nurses were great to all of us. Nena, daddy and I were with Sean every second. Papa (my dad) and Patrick stayed home waiting for us.
It all went wonderful!!! However when I first saw him out of surgery he was all curled up in fetal position on his hospital bed. He just seemed so little to me, so vulnerable. I felt like holding him the way I used to when he was a little baby. I couldn't. He seemed so peaceful. I did not want to interrupt this picture perfect moment.
I want to thank every one of you who prayed for this miracle to happen in my family. Receiving your phone calls and emails right after the surgery was absolutely strengthening to my heart. My boy is almost ready to go back to school, and his eyes (even though they are still bright red) look straight and beautiful. He is happy playing with Patrick, reading books (well, looking at the pictures!!) and playing "Mario" (Nintendo)!!

Sean is strong!!!

Yesterday when we were done with our ophtalmologist visit, I was really depressed thinking about Sean's surgery. Mainly because I did not ever want him to feel embarrassed about his eyes or the circumstances he has had to go through. However, Heavenly Father knows when we need reassurance and He sent it right away.

We decided we would go to McDonald's to "celebrate" that Sean is getting his pretty eyes "fixed." When he was in the playground he made a new friend. They were playing for about an hour until this kid could not help it anymore and asked Sean how come he was wearing glasses. I got shocked by that question, or perhaps about the coming answer. Then Sean, turned around in order to face his new buddy and without any hesitation he said...because I am strong!! While he said that, he held his arms up in a wrestling position, like trying to show off his muscles!!!

It was wonderful!!! an answer straight from heaven!!! my lovely boy does not mind a bit the fact that he has to wear glasses!!! why? because the only reason why he wears them is because...he IS strong!!!
